USE: Use as supplied or 50% solution in water.
APPLICATION: Blackfast 505NS
is used to remove rust and scale from cast iron. Unlike
Blackfast 513 which will attack cast iron and Ieave it
porous, Blackfast 505NS being phosphoric acid based, will
clean the surface but leave a non-porous base for blacking.
Used as a 50% solution in water, pickling can be done
at room temperature or, for a more speedy treatment, at
50 75 C. There is no foaming with Blackfast 505NS.
TANK MATERIAL: Tanks should be
of a suitable polypropylene.
Blackfast 505NS acid pickle light is
part of the Blackfast range of products for the chemical
blacking of iron and steel at room temperature.
Blackfast Chemicals continues to improve
the quality and performance of its range of products and
reserves the right to modify product formulations without
prior notice.
